The basic rules

  • You fish from the bank; wading is allowed.
  • A valid fishing permit is required.
  • Artificial lures only: one rod and one lure at a time. Spare rods are allowed.
  • Fish only in the green areas on the competition map. Respect private property and prohibition signs.
  • Check-in and check-out are mandatory. Catches submitted late will be rejected.
Violations, local rules and image use

The official rules for the water and your fishing permit or VISpas still apply. Under the BLC rules, participation constitutes consent to the use of photos and videos for promotional purposes.

HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS

A fresh chance every day.
Keep improving all season.

Your catches count towards two standings: the daily standings for your event and the season standings for the whole competition.

3 biggest pike4 biggest perch5 biggest zander
DAILY STANDINGS

Start afresh at every event

Only that day’s catches count: your biggest 3 pike, 4 perch and 5 zander. A bigger fish of the same species replaces your smallest counting fish.

  1. Start of the event: an empty scorecard
  2. Record catches and improve your daily score
  3. Daily standings with great prizes

Everyone starts from zero again at the next event.

SEASON STANDINGS

Your biggest catches stay on record

We keep your biggest 3 pike, 4 perch and 5 zander across all events. They do not have to be caught on the same day.

  1. Your first catches fill your season scorecard
  2. Bigger catches replace smaller ones of the same species
  3. After the last event, that score determines your final ranking

More events = more chances to upgrade your catches.

EXAMPLE · YOUR 3 BIGGEST PIKE

After event 1

80 cm70 cm60 cm

Season standings: 210 points

Event 2: a 90 cm catch

The 90 cm pike counts for that day and replaces the 60 cm pike in your season standings.

Your new season score

90 cm80 cm70 cm

Season standings: 240 points

The 80 and 70 cm pike from event 1 still count towards your season standings. Your daily standings for event 2 only include catches from event 2.

You do not need to fill all 12 slots to score points. Only approved catches meeting the minimum length count. Lengths are multiplied by the factor for each species.

To qualify for the final standings, fish at least 3 events, including at least 1 across the border. Every individual competition day also has its own prizes.

PRIZES AT EVERY EVENT

Top 3 and biggest fish

Every event offers great prizes for the top 3 in the daily standings and for the biggest pike, perch and zander. Prizes include vouchers from the event host and sponsor prizes.

The exact vouchers and prize packages vary by event.
